REVIEW: Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur

I haven’t really experimented much with different primers but this is one I have been wanting to try for so long and it is Etude House’s Beauty Shot Face Blur. This primer is said to be lightweight which gives the skin a smooth finish with minimised pores and a bright complexion. The product even has SPF 15/PA++!

Price purchased: AUD$30

What it does:

  • Covers pores and bumpy skin to make skin look flawless.
  • Softening skin layer like filter effect to give smooth and even skin layer.
  • Natural whitening skin to make dark skin look bright and cover imperfections flawlessly while remaining invisible on screen and in real life.
  • Baby pixcel powder and cover powder compounds give 3-in-1 multi filter effect like adjusting light on skin.

According to their website, this primer is made of ‘airy skin powder’ to give lightweight and comfortable wear for a long time. I’m not too sure what they mean by ‘airy skin powder’ which is something i’m quite curious about.

As you can see on the right, the primer does a fair job at reducing redness and making my skin appear a little brighter. The freckles on my face are also less noticeable which I really like. This primer makes my foundation look flawless and airbrushed and it holds pretty well throughout the day. However, I don’t recommend this for those who have oily skin as it does give you a slight dewy look, especially later in the day.

Pros:

  • Reduces redness
  • Brightens skin
  • Makes the foundation look flawless

Cons:

  • Not fit for those with oily skin

Overall rating: 4/5
