REVIEW: THEFACESHOP Real Nature Sheet Masks

I am back with yet another review on masks from The Face Shop. These masks are from their Real Nature line which carry 15 different sheet masks. Yes, 15. The Real Nature line is The Face Shop’s more affordable range of sheet masks retailing for around $3 AUD each.

Out of the 15, I only have 2 to review today. However, long ago I did buy a pack of 10 from this line but I wasn’t reviewing beauty/skincare products back then.

Pomegranate Grenade

“The elasticity and vitality mask sheet with Pomegranate essence, rich in vitamins B1 and B2 and minerals, gives skin moist elasticity and clear vitality.”

This mask supposedly helps reduce the first signs of ageing and help improve the skins elasticity. Let me just say, I did not enjoy the smell of this.

Aloe

“Your skin will be soft and supple in a couple of minutes with this Aloe Face Mask. The aloe extract, with soothing properties, offers softness and hydration to skin.”

Because this is an aloe mask, this is best to use for soothing the skin while also adding some hydration.

Ingredients: Water/Eau, Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Butylene Glycol, AlcoholDenat, Betaine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Xanthan Gum, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Dimethicone, Phaseolus Radiatus Extract, Betula Platyphylla Japonica Bark Extract, Rumex CrispusRoot Extract, Carbomer, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Triethanolamine, Methylparaben, Propyl Paraben, Parfum/Fragrance

So just like other sheet masks, apply this onto the face after toner and leave on for 10-15 minutes. After removal, gently pat the excess onto your skin.

Honestly, there isn’t much to say about these sheet masks. They’re very mediocre and they’re nothing special. I mean, they do the job but I wouldn’t say the results are outstanding. At the same time, I didn’t expect THAT much from this line considering it’s more of the lower end within various line of sheet masks. I find that these aren’t as cooling as other sheet masks and they also don’t fit well on the face, well mine in particular as they tend to hang off on the edges.

Pros:

  • Affordable
  • Wide range

Cons:

  • Average results
  • Doesn’t fit well on the face

REVIEW: Nature Republic Real Squeeze Aloe Vera Emulsion

Back again with another review! Today I will be focusing on Nature Republic‘s Real Squeeze Aloe Vera emulsion. This emulsion actually belonged to my brother and I borrowed it a for a while just to try it and also for review purposes.

IMG_0502.jpg

I don’t know how much this product is so I apologise for that.

This emulsion is said to give an instant cooling effect. It is also supposed to moisturise, soothe and improve skin elasticity.

IMG_0504.jpg

The product comes in a standard pump bottle with Nature Republic’s traditional green packaging. I like that it’s transparent so that I can see how much product is left inside.

Ingredients list

“An emulsion featuring with Aloe Vera from California hydrates and moisturises skin.”

The consistency of this product is very runny much like every other emulsion that I’ve tried. I wish this emulsion was a little more moisturising as I feel that it is only moderately moisturising. However, this product smells incredible. I absolutely love the scent, it’s very fresh and light and I can’t stop sniffing it. Overall, this product isn’t amazing but it does the job.

Pros:

  • Smells incredible
  • Transparent packaging

Cons:

  • Not moisturising enough

REVIEW: Deoproce Aloe Vera Oasis Night Cream

The product I am reviewing today is Deoproce‘s Aloe Vera Oasis night cream. This came in a box with a few other products for around AUD $39. I prefer to review products separately as I feel I go more in depth.

Prior to purchasing this, I didn’t know much about the brand except that it was from South Korea. I came into this not knowing what to expect.

IMG_0507.jpg

The product comes in a very nice glass jar which just makes it feel a little more fancy. However, it is not great for travelling as it is very heavy but overall, i’m a fan of the simple green packaging.

One of my most favourite things about this product was how thick the cream was. I feel that some people might not like this as a lighter texture might feel less slimy on the face but I for one am a huge fan of thick night creams because I love the way it leaves my skin feeling highly moisturised and soft. I also wake up with very soft skin and it is not dry at all. I would definitely repurchase this given the chance and I highly recommend this!

Pros:

  • Thick texture
  • Very moisturising
  • Nice packaging

Cons:

  • Heavy packaging

REVIEW: Nature Republic Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel

Hi everybody!

Today i’m reviewing one of Nature Republic’s best selling products. It is the Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera 92% Soothing GelThis product gets a ridiculous amount of praise from other beauty junkies and I purchased this out of curiosity for AUD$9.00.

img_0790

“This soothing gel, which contains California CCOF-certified organic Aloe Vera, is mild to the skin and can be used to moisturise the face, arms, legs, and hair. This soothing gel contains 92% Aloe Vera extract, which moisturises the skin quickly without leaving a sticky feeling behind.”

How to use: As the last step of the basic skincare routine in the morning and nighttime, apply an appropriate amount on the face.

The product comes in a generous 300ml tub. The packaging is pretty bulky, which isn’t very travel friendly. However, I am a fan of the green colour, it feels very fresh and pure.

Apparently there are actually eight different ways you can use this product:

  1. Moisturising cream or mask pack
  2. Base makeup
  3. After shave cream
  4. Hair treatment
  5. Relax swollen eyes
  6. Nail essence
  7. Body care
  8. Mask pack for relaxing sunburns

The soothing gel feels very lightweight and cool to the skin. I find that this works very nicely when applied after shaving. The cooling effect feels amazing on the skin, which makes this quite handy when accidentally burning your skin. Although this does feel quite nice on the body, it’s not as moisturising as I hoped. After a few minutes, I find that this dries pretty quickly, leaving my skin feeling in need of more product. I like that Nature Republic was very generous with the amount they put inside the tub, so this will last quite a while for someone like me. The fact that this product has multiple functions is a plus for me.

Pros:

  • Generous amount of product
  • Nice cooling effect
  • Light consistency

Cons:

  • Not moisturising enough
  • Bulky/heavy packaging
