REVIEW: Tony Moly Pikachu Mask Sheet

This was something I purchased purely based on the packaging. I’m a sucker for anything cute. Can you blame me?

I purchased this at MD Ranking for $2.50 AUD which is not bad but there are other cheaper sheet masks out there.

For those who are not familiar with Tony Moly, it is a South Korean brand that offers skincare and beauty products. It is an affordable brand that offers quality products without breaking your wallet.

Tony Moly Pikachu Mask Sheet

This isn’t my first time using sheet masks from Tony Moly and I enjoyed using their I’m Real sheet masks.

Tony Moly actually have these sheet masks featuring other Pokemon characters and I have inserted an image below.

At MD Ranking, they were only selling the Pikachu and the Meowth mask and I considered purchasing both but eventually just settled with Pikachu.

Tony Moly also has other Pokemon skincare products and even makeup!

Tony Moly Pikachu Mask Sheet

Each Pokemon mask caters towards different skin needs:

Pikachu – Moisturising

Meowth – Nutrition

Charmander – Brightening

Squirtle – Hydrating

Bulbasaur – Pore

This is what websites online have to say about the Pikachu mask:

“The nourishing honey provides full vitality to skin as the nourishing honey deeply penetrates into skin.”

Because this is a moisturising skin, this will be suitable for those with dry, flaky skin.

Tony Moly Mask Sheet

This is one of those masks that feel kind of stiff and paper-like. However, it is not as stiff as the Innisfree Real Squeeze mask so it’s not too bad.

In terms of moisturising, this mask is adequate but nothing outstanding. This mask is one of those products that is only really interesting for the packaging. I can’t really say that my skin was feeling VERY soft after but it was okay.

However, I am not saying this is a terrible product. If you are looking for an affordable mask that will provide nothing more than a decent job at moisturising your skin, then this will be good for you.

Pros:

  • Attractive packaging
  • Affordable

Cons:

  • Only mediocre in moisturising

Overall rating: 2.5/5

You can purchase this mask from these sites: YesStyle, Style Korean, Shopee

REVIEW: Tony Moly Master Lab Sheet Masks

This would be my first time using sheet masks for about 2 months now and I am SO happy. I stopped using face masks for a short period of time because I was trying to hold on back on my spending towards skincare products. However, I just could not resist.

I purchased these in a pack of 10 for $20 at a Korean beauty store called AHA. I had never actually seen or heard of these prior. The packaging and title just intrigued me. This was also recommended by the lady who served me at the store.

These sheet masks belong to Tony Moly’s Master Lab collection, consisting of five different types which aim to moisturise, hydrate, brighten, and repair skin damage.

This mask is said to transform dull and tired skin into healthier-looking, moisturised skin in as little as 20 minutes.

I really love the packaging on these. I don’t know why, but I’m always drawn to sheet masks with a medical type of aesthetic.

Intensive Moisturising – Ceramide Moisture Care

Tony Moly Master Lab sheet mask – Intensive Moisturising

You will see down below that a lot of these sheet masks cater towards dry skin much like this one. However, this one in particular is for dry skin with flaky cracks. This claims to deliver rich moisture deep inside the skin using ceramide.

Intensive Moisturising – Collagen Elasticity

Tony Moly Master Lab sheet mask – Intensive Moisturising

I feel like this Master Lab mask would work well for those with older skin as this caters to help sagging skin due to the lack of elasticity. This sheet masks claims to make the skin more elastic and firm with collagen.

This leaves the skin with a highly absorbing and moisturising finish.

Intensive Hydrating – Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating

This Master Lab mask recharges the skin with moisture which works best for those with dry skin.

Intensive Damage Care – Snail Mucin Skin Damage Care

If your skin type is rough due to dryness, this would be the best one to use as this Master Lab mask in particular really helps to assist those problem areas by boosting the skins radiance.

Intensive Brightening – Vitamin C Brightening

For those who have dull skin and could really use a boost, this would be the one for you. This Master Lab masks contains Vitamin C which really helps brighten the skin.

Tony Moly Master Lab sheet mask – Intensive Hydrating

I was surprised at how thin these sheet masks are. They feel very delicate to the touch and because of these, there was more essence soaking into the masks themselves which I really, really liked.

This stick beautifully on my face and there is no hassle during application which I occasionally experience with other sheet masks. But because of how small my face is, I still need to do a bit of folding on the sides but that doesn’t bother me because I need to do that with every single sheet mask I’ve used anyway.

Tony Moly’s Master Lab sheet masks work very well and live up to their claims. This leaves my skin feeling very healthy and moisturised and I pretty much have no complaints with these.

Pros:

  • Very thin mask
  • A lot of essence soaked into the mask
  • Inexpensive

Cons:

  • I have no complaints

REVIEW: Tony Moly Aquaporin Moisture Cream

During my sheet mask haul, I received various samples including Tony Moly’s Aquaporin Moisture Cream.

img_0026

This moisture cream is part of Tony Moly’s Aquaporin line with its main feature being intensive hydrating skincare that is said to deliver moisture to the deepest areas under the skin through water channels.

img_0029

The size of this sample is fairly generous with 30ml worth of product inside. Unfortunately, I am unable to find the ingredients list online so I am not too sure of what exactly is in this.

This product claims to last for 24 hours long and absorb very quickly. I can say for sure that this does absorb quite fast, however as for its duration, I have to disagree as I don’t feel its effects for 24 hours long.

The cream has a very lightweight, gel-like consistency which feels very nice and smooth on the skin. It also doesn’t have much of  a scent which is good for those who are particular with certain smells. I think this cream does an okay job at moisturising my face, however I feel that it isn’t moisturising enough for my liking. For me personally, it also doesn’t last for the whole 24 hours. I actually think the moisturising effect on this is short lived.

Pros:

  • No scent
  • Lightweight

Cons:

  • Not moisturising enough
  • Only moisturises for a short period of time
